DoB: August 29, 1972

Born in Mapo-gu, Seoul, the BAE Yung, Song Ki-Ok, he studied at the pre-Il-mun and Myung-il elementary school. In his school, BAE was a very quiet boy with few friends. He finally went to study in Baejae Middle School and the Hanyoung High School. He has a sister, Bae Eun-Chuk.

After studying the FTM (film, TV & Multimeadia) department in the School of the Arts in the Sungkyunkwan University, BAE later went to his film debut in PpilKu in 1994. He later went to star in dramas such as Salut D'Armour and six steps for separation in late 1994 and 1995.
However, it was not until he starred as Jae-Ho faithful in love, as he made his first breakthrough. But Bae, not only demanding in venturing in his business, acted in dramas of better quality as hotelier.

In 2002, BAE really managed to extend its actions business to Japan. Winter Sonata, despite the fact that it is a TV drama, and not a movie, destroyed all of Japan with as much as 80% of the country watching. This popularity has really both Bae and his co-star Choi Ji-woo a chance to shift their main stage from Korea to Japan. Other Korean movies and dramas also quite popular after the fever.

Bae also managed to a deeper foothold in the Japanese and Southeast Asian market after he starred in the film Untold Scandal as Jo Won. But due to the fact that there are several strong sexual scenes in the film, the public appeal of the audience was not as big as Winter Sonata.
After a trip to Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Phuket in 2004, BAE his biography published during his hysterical 4 1/2-day tour in Japan, where the picture: Volume 1 to commemorate his 10th Year of his career.

Since 2004 he has been spokesman for the Japanese pizza chain Pizza-La.
